I am going to second and presumptuously third Dxb Divas review! I was introduced to sushi via Sushi counter and boy! am I a huge fan. Since that time, I have sampled sushi at many acclaimed places but nothing has beaten my taste buds for Sushi Counter. The staff now know me well. I've never gone on a Thursday night so have been fortunate to avoid the rush hour madness! I believe the quality of the products used are a crowd puller. There have been just one or two times where the sushi has smelt a little fishy but i still loved it!
I discovered Sushi Counter from a menu that was pushed through my door and usually the thought of take away raw fish would not be something I would go for unless I really wanted food poisoning! For some reason I decided to give it a go and OH MY it was amazing. I am a huge sushi fan and it was some of the best I've had even in a high end restaurant like Zuma so for take away I was astounded! I went on to order it three more times in two weeks each time loved it until unfortunately, the 5th time. It was not good. At all. I think it was because it was peak time on a Thursday, you could tell it was rushed, falling apart, the ingredients not the same because they had run out, some of it was inedible, one tiny soy sauce for a big order etc you get my point. I was seriously disappointed, I even called to complain but the phone service was a rather useless and I couldn't get through to any member of management or get an email. I haven't ordered since as I was quite put off by the experience, however, I would still order it again as the previous times were so wonderful, I'd just avoid Thursday nights in future.
